I’m Hearing: Billy Joel – Lullaby (Goodnight, My Angel)

Well, ’twas quite an interesting weekend. So, lessee…where to begin. Friday night…got my car back, and one of the parts they had ordered for it was defective so I’m going to have to bring it in…*again*…sigh. Wow, that seems like forever ago. We roleplayed on Friday night, which went fairly well from what I recall. Sheesh, my head has been in the clouds all weekend, and I can’t shake it, in fact, I think it’s gotten progressively worse since about Thursday night.

What else…Saturday my new friend Matt came over. We went to see A Guy Thing, which was fairly funny and cute, then ate at TGIFriday’s. Came back and watched Amelie, which I highly recommend!!! It was fun seeing how much of the French I could understand without looking at the subtitles. It almost made me want to start taking French classes again. :-D

Sunday, Matt, Brian, and I went to Best Buy so I could get a new hard drive. I spent most of the night reinstalling Windows while we watched Dragonfly, an episode of Farscape, and The Dead Zone. Then they left and I continued messing around with drivers and whatnot. The biggest reason I got a new hard drive was so I could put a larger hard drive in my iMac since….OH!!!! I forgot to mention…on Friday night Jon helped me update the firmware on the iMac, which fixed the display problem!!!!!!! :-D Yaaaay! I think I may actually use it more now that I’m not being visually assaulted all the time. Anyhow, being that it’s fixed, I thought it would be cool to give it more hard drive space, hence the new drive. (I’m pulling out my 40 gig drive to put into the iMac and making my old 60 gig into my mp3 drive) It’s pretty sweet…120gb with an 8mb cache :D~~~~ Very very nice. The installation of Windows went flawlessly, which was a great surprise! I was able to copy over or rescue everything I needed to so far, and I’m up and running again without much of a delay of any kind. I had a little trouble finding the drivers for one of my network cards since it’s kind of a generic one, but after a little digging I got ahold of it. Now I have a clean install of Windows without the clutter…plus extra speed and room to boot!!!! Yaaay, 180 gb total space on this machine…drooool…..And also, my USB works after the reinstall, so it must have been a freaking software issue…

Today was the first day of school for the spring semester. I only had one class, which was painting, so that was good. I paid my tuition bill then worked the rest of the day. Oy, that was expensive….ouch. At any rate, tomorrow will be a little tougher since I have 3 classes (one of which I’m not signed into yet!) but at least I’ve had all the professors before so I have a pretty good idea what to expect.

Spent a good chunk of time chatting on irc the last couple days since I know I’m gonna be bombarded with work in a very short amount of time here. I won’t be able to get online most mornings so I may miss Jules and Ross altogether. I sure hope not though… ;_;

What the hell else has happened? Not a whole lot. I’ve been kind of relaxing a bit when possible, but my mind won’t leave me alone. Thinking of all the "what-ifs" and "maybes" and "hmmm possiblys" that have been floating around in my head a lot lately. Most of the time I feel really happy and excited, but sometimes confused and worried. Oh well, at least I have something to think about rather than staring blankly without a clue.
